At Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge we offer adult only sessions to allow you to climb in a supportive, fun and child-free environment. Whether you have experience climbing or are completely new to the activity, our one-hour sessions offer a level of challenge for everyone and are an unbelievably good workout.
This year’s World Mental Health Day theme is focused on mental health in the workplace. Climbing is a way that many can address key mental health challenges that employees can often face. Why not discuss your wellbeing and take the opportunity to invite others in your organisation and community to come along to Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge.
Climbing is not only good for your physical health, but it also requires and enhances a range of skills which can be transferred to the workplace…
Manage stress: Climbing allows you to unwind from work and leave your day behind. The focus required to complete the route of your climb and the concentration of tackling your next obstacle allows you to shift your mind from everyday life.
Problem solving: Often in the workplace we are met with deadlines and challenging tasks which can also be reflected in climbing. Overcoming challenges encourages you to build solutions and problem solving will help you remain calm under pressure. Climbing is excellent for teaching resilience and can help enhance your productivity and decision making.
Work-life balance: Having an evening off to climb will allow you to have some fun and provide a sense of achievement. Finding time for a healthy activity will boost your personal life by setting it away from a professional background. Achieving our walls, or getting further than you expected is a real confidence booster.
Teamwork: Teamwork is often critical for a positive work environment and socialising in a different setting will allow you to make new connections with other climbers and our staff. Guiding others can strengthen your social skills and ability to work with others. A good network can reduce the feeling of isolation.
Including indoor climbing to your routine will develop and enhance skills which can benefit your performance overall. Often, we can get caught up in stress, deadlines and long hours so now is the time escape the world of work and immerse yourself in the adventure of climbing.
